How booking a Sintra trip works

1 · Check which Pena ticket is included

Pena sells several visits at different prices, and entry to the palace is at a fixed time. Check which visit a tour or ticket includes and how long you get there.

2 · Check how you get up the hill

Private cars cannot drive to Pena or the Moorish Castle, and large coaches stop outside the village. Check whether a tour climbs in its own small vehicle, by tuk-tuk or on the public bus.

3 · Plan around the crowds and the weather

Pena is far busier than the other sights, and its palace is quieter in the afternoon. Mist, wind and fire risk can close the forest sites at short notice, so read each product's cancellation terms.
